The recent advancess by opposition forces in Syria have rekindled hopes for freedom, dignity, and justice among many Syrians, both domestically and globally.
Following the significant impact of Aleppo’s recent liberation, Syrian Christians USA reaffirms our unwavering support for all Syrians enduring these difficult times, with particular emphasis on our Christian brethren in Aleppo.
We were relieved this past Sunday to confirm their safety and the uninterrupted observance of Sunday Mass. We appreciate the opposition’s assurances that Christian communities will continue to be safeguarded, aligning with our commitment to preserving Syria’s cultural and religious diversity.
While we welcome the end of control by Assad, Russia, and Iran in Aleppo, we urge the United States to take swift action to halt the bombardment of civilians and to support efforts to facilitate Assad’s departure. Any delay risks empowering extremist groups and prolonging the suffering of the Syrian people, as history has unfortunately demonstrated.
