For those living in camps without medical care in the chill of winter, pain grows daily among children, the elderly, and the sick. The residents of these camps are in dire need of medication and essential healthcare services to meet the needs of those with chronic medical conditions and disabilities who are often forced to endure their suffering without any real hope of relief. As the challenge of surviving another winter approaches, we invite you to become a source of healing for souls weighed down by the harshness of their lives due to forced displacement.
The organization “Syrian Christians in the United States” has launched the “Heal Their Wounds” project to provide medication, health services, and mobility aids to the sick and disabled in Syrian refugee camps. We plan to prioritize those with chronic medical conditions and injuries who are not able to obtain the necessary medications and supplies due to their poor financial status. We also plan to help those with special needs acquire wheelchairs for mobility, and air mattresses to prevent chronic sores due to prolonged immobility. Children needing urgent medical visits to clinics or local dispensaries, and preventive treatment for conditions like anemia and parasitic diseases, will also be prioritized by our “Heal Their Wounds” project.
With your generous support, we can ensure essential medications and basic treatments reach impoverished residents of the camps in Syria. We aim to work alongside local clinics, where available, to facilitate care for sick children and continue supporting families by providing essential healthcare tools, allowing those with disabilities to live with dignity within their communities.
