Syrian American civic leader and human rights advocate. Born in Damascus, Syria, Barq holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences from the University of Central Florida. She previously served as President of the Syrian American Council (2011–2018). Today, she is President of the American Coalition for Syria and Syrian Christians for Peace, where she advocates for equal citizenship, religious freedom, and a just, inclusive future for Syria.
